Practical support for real safeguarding work.

The Social Work Way brings together tools that support the everyday work around safeguarding and social care practice. Recording, referrals, direct work, reflection and learning can feel clearer, calmer and more connected.

Created by a practising social worker.

The Social Work Way was built by Matthew Davies, a practising social worker and Team Manager, after seeing the pressure that recording, admin and disconnected processes can place on practitioners.

It has always been shaped by the reality of frontline work. The visits, the conversations, the decisions, the recording and the need to stay present with children, families and adults who need support.

Practice-led from the start

Built around real social work pressures, not from a distance. The focus is on supporting practice, not adding another layer of admin.

Recording that supports thinking

Clear records matter. The aim is to support professional reasoning, improve clarity and reduce the pressure of writing everything up later.

People remain at the centre

Technology should support the work around people. It should never replace professional judgement, relationships or human decision-making.

Real feedback from practice

What practitioners say

Feedback from practitioners and people connected to frontline social work, safeguarding and care.

The way the app addresses the real challenges in social work with such thoughtful and practical solutions. It’s nothing short of brilliant. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought and heart into it.
